Asian American Studies at Dartmouth

Dartmouth College currently offers a number of Asian American Studies courses, housed in traditional academic departments. Faculty offer a range of courses to provide students with the means for understanding the multiracial history of the United States as well as the global economic, political, and social contexts shaping the migrations and settlement of diverse Asian populations in the United States and the Americas.

An Asian American Studies minor is also in development under the Asian Studies program. In addition to the directed independent study and thesis advising currently offered, students will be able to pursue a program of study alongside their current majors that includes a deeper examination of Asian American immigration, health, gender, and cross-ethnic social movements.
